Sunday Sketch

Hello everyone and thank you so much for your support and wonderful comments. They are so encouraging and I really appreciate you all! Below is this weeks Sunday Sketch along with how I started the background.



I still have a way to go to finish this one, but I'm liking it so far!

New Sunday Sketches

Good morning and thank you for dropping by! I finished a painting last week and started on another one. The first one is similar to one I did in my journal, but it's now painted on an 8x10 wood canvas.

It has many layers of paper, paint, stamps and molding paste and was really fun to make!
This next painting is only about 1/2 way finished.

I started one like this, but didn't like where it was going, and I may just end up painting over it. I'm enjoying this new one so much more!
We had a big storm last night with large hail! Here is a picture of the hail we saw.

Hopefully we don't have any damage to our roof! Some of the hail was golf ball size! My son and his family lost power so they came over for a while.

Good Morning! I had a stressful week, which is why I came up with this sketch...my reminder that He is always with me.

Sunday Sketch

Good morning all! I don't have a new sketch this week, but I painted the flowers from last week.


It turned out ok, and I might try again on canvas instead of in my journal. Below is a finished painting that I really love.

I wish I could visit that little hill and stare up at the stars. We were supposed to be able to see the super moon last night, which only occurs once every 18 years, but it got too cloudy to see anything. Did anyone else see it? In case you didn't hear, the super moon just means that it was a full moon and closer to the earth then usual.

Sunday Sketch and Baby News!

Good morning all and welcome to this weeks entry for Sunday Sketches hosted by Sophia. (see link to the right) I couldn't resist these beautiful tulips at Harris Teeter yesterday.

And here is my quick sketch I did in my journal, which I hope to paint later today:

I made a few changes to a painting I posted a few weeks ago, after Wyanne critiqued it, and here is how it looks:

And now for the baby news...Yes! My daughter Tori and her husband Dean are expecting their 2nd child in October! Here is the way they told us when we went to visit 2 weeks ago:

This will be our 4th grandchild! We are so blessed! Have a happy Sunday everyone!

A finished Sketch

There won't be any Sunday Sketch this week, due to an illness in Sophia's family. Her father is very sick and Sophia would appreciate your prayers. I have my sketch finished from last week, so I thought I would share it.

Today is my son in laws birthday party, so I'll be heading out shortly to go spend time at their house. I'll visit everyone when I get home. Have a wonderful Sunday!
