Happy 4th of July!

Hello and Happy 4th to all my fellow Americans! I don't have a patriotic painting this week, but I did take a little time to work on something new. This was done on wood, and it's a wip.

I've been on vacation this week, but we didn't go anywhere. My husband had to work, so I stayed at home and worked in my garden and did some spring cleaning. Today is a day off, and hopefully we will spend some time with my son and his family.

Slowly Working On A New Painting

Hello all and Happy Friday! I haven't had a chance to link to Paint Party Friday in a while, and I'm glad to finally have time in the morning for a post! I've been working on this painting for a while now, but seem to get stalled out, then it sits for days while I try to decide what else to do with it. It's still not finished, as I want to fix the angels face a little more.

I took my husband to the beach last weekend for his birthday. (North Myrtle Beach) We only had 2 nights there, but it was so relaxing we can't wait for our week in September.

It's been 1 year since my husband had his heart attack, and thank God he is doing well!

My arm and ribs are almost completely healed so I am trying to go to the gym again.

Finally Feeling Better!

Hello and Happy Sunday! My arm is finally feeling bettr, and I was able to paint again! Yah! Below is the painting I started before my accident...finished!

I'm giving this to my friends who knew Jackie, in memory of her.
I also started another painting, but I'm a little stuck on it. So I quess I'll just start painting over the sections I'm not that crazy about and see what happens. Here is what I like so far:

Not much of a start, but hopefully more will get finished this week.

An Accident

Last Sunday, on Mothers Day, I slipped and fell in my bathroom. I went to the emergency room to get my arm x-rayed, and thank God, it turned out to only be a sprain. Unfortunately its my right arm, making mosts tasks harder since I am of course, right handed. I couldn't stay away from my paints all week so i tried to paint left handed.

Not my best work, but it was fun trying to paint left handed!

Something Old, Something New

Hello and happy weekend! My last post, showed a painting of a vase and I planned to paint flowers, but it was so horrible, I decided to paint over it. This is what showed up after the many layers of random painting:

I'm calling it "Eternity".
This next painting is a wip, which I'm planning to share with my friends at work who knew Jackie. (see last post)

This painting is called "Gathered Over the Rainbow". I got the title from the bible. When Abraham and some of the other patriarchs died, the bible says they were gathered to thier families. My friend Jackie told her 2 kids that their dog who died recently, had gone "over the rainbow". I wanted to have something to remember her by, and hope my friends will like it too.
That's all of the art I have for this week, but I do want to share a few Easter pictures of the grandkids!

Paintings for PPF and SS-Some Sad News

Hello everyone and happy Friday, happy Weekend! It's been a sad week. One of my co-workers and friends was in a fatal car crash Tuesday night. She was only 36, and her birthday was today. She had 2 small children (5 & 3) and a husband. We were all so shocked at work and sad. Usually we would take the birthday girl to lunch, and so we are going to lunch today in her honor.
I finished the painting from last week.

My husband liked it so it's hanging in our staircase. I also started a new one, but haven't done much with it since Wednesday.

I plan to paint pink, purple and orange flowers so it should be quite colorful.
I would appreciate your prayers for my friends family. Her name was Jackie, her husband is Michael.

WIP For PPF and SS

Goodmorning everyone! I've been working on a new large canvas again, (20x24) but I'm still not finished. Here are a couple of pics of my progress:
