Sunday Sketch

Hey everyone! This weeks Sunday sketch originated with a painted background and then progressed into a pulled painting!

...almost finished...

Finished!

This was such a fun way to paint I can't wait to try it again!
While on Mystele's blog, I saw her use a paper bag from the grocery store as a canvas and loved the idea! It's a great way to try out an idea.

What a freeing experience! I wasn't worried about messing up a canvas so the paint just flew onto the bag!
As promised, here are a couple of my favorite pictures from last weeks visit with my kids and their families.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Great painting. I would be scared to death to start with the background and work my way up. I'd be too afraid I'd mess something up and then the whole thing would be ruined. LOL.

Hi Debbie,

I like that scetch/painting of the mama angel with her daughter... would make a lovely Mother's Day gift.

Kids always have so much fun in the sprinklers during the summer, don't they?

I love seeing the stages of your work and the finished piece is wonderful. I have been thinking I would like to start with a background lately, instead of adding it around my drawing. Thanks for the inspiration.

Debbie, Idon't know what it is about the "found faces" that excites me but it does. I think the faces waiting for you are so excellent and fun. I hope you will add the first and last pic to the gallery in the classroom at Faces: All Norah'S. I went looking for them there. Love them.

I've not ever attempted to start with the background like that. Although, I like challanges, so I might give it a go! :)

Love your SS this week! Happy Sunday!
