Painting with Wings

I just finished this painting of my grandson Grant.

I might add a quote across the top, and touch up a spot or two once it dries. (How do those white spots suddenly pop out??) Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it. I just wish I was better with noses! Which is one of the reasons I just signed up for Suzi Blu's Portrait class! I'm so excited! Hopefully I'll have some new improved drawings and paintings soon.
Happy Saturday everyone!

He's beautiful, Debbie!! And thank you for your visit and comment on my blog. You will love Suzie's class--she's a very good teacher. I started it about a month ago, not having a clue to what I was doing. I really love it!!

So cute, Debbie...love the wings...I know how you feel...I'm just learning & unfortunately I'm a bit of perfectionist with myself!!!

Have fun with your class...you must be very excited!!! I'm into my third week of a four week workshop with Misty Mawn & I've learned so much in the way of technique...my skills will come from practice, practice, practice, at least that is what I've been told from many people...I actually don't want to draw faces but I like her work and when she offered the class I figured I could learn a great deal from her...& I am!!!
The way I figure it Debbie if we love the process that is the most important part, right?
Enjoy...
Cheers

Noses are so very hard to do- I took a class from Misty Mawn and she was so helpful in teaching noses. Your painting of your angel boy is wonderful.
