A Special Gift for Mom

Good morning and happy Sunday! I'm linking with SS today, and hope you will join me! (see link on the right)I've been working on my mom's 90th birthday gift and finally finished it.
The writing under the painting, is my father's. He wrote special notes inside of my sisters bibles and they sent a picture of the writing to me. He also kept journals that are included on the inside of the box. I covered the writings with velum paper, that had a print of my art. It was a lot (and I mean a LOT) of gluing, but I'm happy with the finished piece.
I'm heading over to Alexandra's place for Sunday Sketches this week! I can't wait to see what everyone else has been working on.
Happy week everyone!

I love it!! Love everything about it and especially love that you have your mom with you to celebrate her 90th birthday!! You are blessed!!! I lost my mother almost 4 years ago and still miss her terribly. She would have been 85 this year and I would have loved to celebrate with her as you are doing. What a special gift and meaningful gift you are giving her. I know she will love it too. You are a sweet, sweet daughter to go to such lengths to fix it with all the memories in it. Happy birthday to your mom and hope you have a great new week!!!
