Sunday Sketch

Good morning all! I don't have a new sketch this week, but I painted the flowers from last week.

It turned out ok, and I might try again on canvas instead of in my journal. Below is a finished painting that I really love.

I wish I could visit that little hill and stare up at the stars. We were supposed to be able to see the super moon last night, which only occurs once every 18 years, but it got too cloudy to see anything. Did anyone else see it? In case you didn't hear, the super moon just means that it was a full moon and closer to the earth then usual.
I hope everyone has a happy Sunday and great week!xoxo (check out the link to the right to go to Sophia's blog and see other wonderful sketches!)

I love tulips. They don't grow well here, but we can buy the forced ones and enjoy them for one blooming. I love the color of the ones in your painting!

Cloudy here too - but saw it the night before and it sure was beautiful! I love the tulips - the background is perfect and the tulips seem to wave gently in a spring breeze - great colour! The last painting is peaceful as can be - oh for such a moment! Happy Spring!

I love the colors you chose and the veining looks really great. The painting on the bottom is quite lovely and very melancholy. Fabulous job capturing the mood.

love both paintings, the girl on the hill has a really nice folk art feel to her. It got too cloudy here to see the moon also and I had hoped to.
