Hello everyone! I wanted to post last weekend, but we were busy babysitting our grandkids! This was the 2nd weekend in a row that we had time to play with our grandkids. 2 weeks ago, we had my sons kids here...Grant and Ashlyn.
This past weekend we had my daughter's kids, Levi and Josie.
With all this fun it was hard to find time for art.
I'm linking with Paint Party Friday and Sunday Sketches. (see links on the right) Have a wonderful week! xo

A Snow Day!
Hello and Happy Friday! This has been an unusual week for those living in the Carolinas! We had 7 inches of snow, along with sleet and freezing rain, bringing our city to a complete halt for most of Wednesday and all of Thursday! Late yesterday, the snow and ice started to melt and I am planning to venture to work later in the morning.
So what does an artist do when they realize they could be inside for a few days? Check for milk and bread? No, who cares about that! I checked my art supplies of course! Fortunately, I had plenty to keep me busy during the storm.
The snow was beautiful coming down, but it completely covered the bird feeders. After a few attempts to keep the feeders clear, I gave up and started throwing the seed on the ground. At least the birds could easily dig and find it. That's what inspired this first painting.
I saw the most beautiful flowers at the store last weekend, and couldn't resist buying them. That's where the next inspiration came from.
I still have a sketch that I'll be painting later this weekend, but for now it's off to work I go! Have a wonderful weekend, and please stop by Paint Party Friday and Sunday Sketches, as I will be linking with them both.

Pencil Sketch for Paint Party Friday
Goodmorning and happy weekend! I have a sketch that I'll be using this weekend for my next watercolor project. It's a little blurry, and I'm not sure how to get a better picture.
I've got it sketched out on the watercolor paper, with some changes to the background. I hope to work on it tomorrow and Sunday, so check back in a few days to see the finished (?) painting! I'm linking to PPF today, see link on the right if you want to join in! xo

Sunday Sketches Celebrates 4 Years!
Wow! Has it really been 4 years since Alexandra started SS? I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by, probably because it's been such a fun 4 years! Thank you Alexandra for starting SS!
I'm linking with SS and hope you will join us for another 4 years.
This is one of my paintings from Wyanne's watercolor class. I'm enjoying it so much! If you're looking to learn more about watercolors, I would definitely recommend her class!
Have a wonderful week!
