Gray and Pink for SOC

Hello and happy 4th of July for those living in America! I struggled with the new colors for Summer Of Color, and finally did this quick sketch in my daily journal in colored pencil.
I've also been working on another large painting, for Paint Party Friday. (and eventually my Etsy shop)
I guess my husbands heart attach (he's doing great!) and the fact that his heart stopped twice during the procedure to put in the 2 stints, really inspired most of this painting. It's becme very personal to me, and I know it's not finished yet, but I wanted to share it with my blog buddies.
I'm linking with SOC, PPF and SS and I hope you'll come along with me to see what other wonderful artists have been creating. (all links are on the right) Have a wonderful week!

LOve the way you've used the theme of pink and gray to put into this gorgeous painting. I hope your husband's recovery is quick and that he heals up really well. Having a dh with a incurable disease makes me appreciate him all the more and at the same time makes me have a lot of sympathy for others whose loved ones are at risk.
