Spring Gardening!

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks painting for Paint Party Friday and Sunday Sketches! (see links to right and please join us!)
I'm on vacation this week, and so far it's been all about gardening and spring cleaning! I've spent 3 days pulling weeds, and planting flowers and vegys. I actually have a blister on my hand! Here are the gardens I've worked on:

And here is my painting:

I'm working on something new for next week...poppies! Have a great weekend all!

your garden looks so nice and all cleaned up but what work huh? We've only begun cleaning out old stuff and still need to till the garden area we share with our neighbors. I can't wait to start planting flowers. Your illustration is really sweet. Happy PPF!

Love the garden and painting. I can't wait till I move to my farmhouse to really get stuck into the gardening. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers. The Shirley Poppy, gets it's name from the village called Shirley south of Croydon, where I grew up. The local vicar who invented (if that's the right word)the Shirley Poppy was a great friend of my Nan's. I think he even baptized me... ok, so that's my claim to fame. :) x
