Some Completed Some Not

Good morning and Happy Labor Day to all my fellow American's! Some of my family were here last weekend for my birthday, so it's been a while since I've posted. Here is what I've been working on, some are finished, and some aren't and some I'm at the "I'm not sure yet" stage:
This last wip, is going in my youngest granddaughter's room:
And here is the sketch for the girl I'll paint on this background:
It's hard to see, but she's a fairy holding a sign that says "Josie's Room." I bought some really cute wings a couple of years ago that would be perfect for her, but I've been searching for them in my room, and they seem to be lost. I can't imagine why...it can't be all the stuff I've accumulated in the last several years, can it? I think I could spend the next 60 days straight, just going through my stuff, throwing things out and selling stuff, and still not feel organized. It's my goal to start cleaning, after I return from the beach next week. Ha! I think I've said this before! I'll do it next weekend, or next month, or my new years resolution is to clean this room! Arrrgh! I really need to stay committed this time. I'm linking to Sunday Sketches this week, and I'll be popping around to see what the other artists have been making! I hope you'll join me! (see link on the right) Have a wonderful week!

You've been productive! I really like the one that has the couple in shadow and look forward to seeing how you complete it.

What cute WIPS and Josie will love her wall hanging once done.
Clean the room? Heaven's forbid. The "lost" wings will fly to you soon. I just works that way...I know from my own messy spaces. They are just on a bit of a vacation themselves just now.

I think it is finished.... and I love it... but I always add touches over a couple of days when i work on canvas... laughed at the cleaning comment... luckily Spring is showing itself here and that kind of makes me want to clean out things... maybe you need to wait 6 months!!!!

I have so many unfinished projects too! I certainly identify with not knowing if a project is "just right and finished" or not.

all are great pieces. your painting for your granddaughter looks like it will be a precious treasure for her! I feel your pain in finding the wings. . . getting organized. . . I think about it all the time! good luck with that one!
