New Sketches

Good morning! I was busy the last couple of weeks with the holidays and family visiting, and I've missed everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and the new year will be filled with happiness and creative fun! Below are a couple of new sketches from the class I'm taking:

I also played last night in my art journal with water colors:

I didn't mention this before Christmas, but I had a cancer scare! I finally had my first mammogram and 10 days later, I received a note in the mail saying there was something showing that needed to be further examined. I went for another mammogram and then an ultra sound on Dec. 27th, a whole month later! I had a few sleepless nights, waiting for that date, but thank God, the 2 spots turned out to be benign! I hope everyone, will take the time to have a mammogram each year. I never should have waited this long to have my first one!
Well, I'm heading over to Sophia's blog to join in the Sunday Sketches fun! I hope you will join me! Happy Sunday!!

Hi Debbie,
no the painting has not arrived as yet :( it usually takes about 2-3 weeks to get from the states to here, but with Christmas it might take as long as 6 weeks. This week I received a book I ordered about 2 months ago :)
So I got something to look forward to :)

love your ladies, these chicks look bold!

Yes please ladies always always have your mammograms please please! My breast cancer was found on my first mammogram i am now 7 years clear!, i lost a friend a year ago next week after a 4 year battle.

Now take time to breath Deb, that kind of scare puts your mind on a roller coaster - reminds one to enjoy the moment! Hugs!
