Sunday Sketch

Happy Sunday everyone! Here are my sketches for this week...more pages in my granddaughters book I'm making for her.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away already, and then Christmas soon after! This year has really flown by! I have 1 more class I want to take, Alisa Burke's color theory. Has anyone taken it? Her post is very encouraging about drawing every day. I've tried before to find time for it everyday, but it's so hard to do, since I work full time. Does anyone else have that same problem and have you found a way to make time?
Well, I'm heading over to Sophia's blog to see what everyone else has been sketching this week. Have a wonderful day!

nice. love the progression between the two...cute little owl...i follow the same principle in my writing...wether you feel like it or not...take at least few minutes to write, or sketch, or paint...keeps you fresh...

i love the owl, up high on the bookshelf too....i agree it is hard to fit it all in. i do try to do a little sketch a day, even if it's just a simple face or something. hmm, color theory class, that sounds fun!!! i will check it out. xxoo

Lovely sketches!!
I just can't find time to sketch every day, it's very difficult. But i agree that it would be very refreshing!!

Your granddaughter's book is coming along great. I sure hope that is a pet rat (?) next to the water heater.

Looks like an interesting story! Great owls!

I've been participating in http://creativeeveryday.com/ and am at Day 318 I think. And I have a very busy career. So it is doable. Insane some days. Almost impossible while travelling so I have cheated a bit - doing some little creations a day early or late but still having one to show for each day. Looking forward to 31Dec2010 when I will stop! I've enjoyed it but everyday for a year will have been enough I think. On to bigger but less frequent things then!

Every day is fantastic - amazing - i wish - but even in the fall rush we are getting some writing nad some sketching every week - the kids more than me :-) I think we have the same water heater! So love this book!

I love that you are making a book for your grandchild. That is really special.

I took Alisa Burke's Color Theory class and it was good for a color theory class. She makes the subject matter as fun as it can be. I have taken other Alisa classes that are WONDERFUL, the color theory was my least favorite but I just think it is the material.

Cute - like the series with the owl...it is difficult to find time for me anyway, even to finish something for SS...Just have to find it where you can, I guess.

Your grandaughter is going to love this book!

I've heard and read alot about Alisa Burke but not taken any of her classes. I am wanting to take one or find a book on how to do whimisical drawings. That's the area I want to explore. :)

Love your new pages for your book. The mouse is SO cute. hee

Wow - it's really coming along! I love your owl :)

Putting the commitment in writing (on my blog) has helped keep me painting every day... even on difficult days.
