Sunday Sketches
Hello all! I'll be linking with Sophia's Sunday Sketches today! (see link on right) Below are some projects I've been working on. The first is my new art journal.
The next 3 are a piece of wood that I've painted:
I got the idea of painting on a cut up 2x4 from Junelle's class, "The Art of Wild Abandonment." It's been such a fun class, I hated to see it end! She is such a sweet person, and has such cute ideas!
This last painting is another attempt to do an abstract painting. I would have enjoyed it more, if the black would have gone on darker. Maybe next time, I'll try watercolor paper instead of a canvas.
That's all I have for this week! I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and a good week!

I like the branch motif in the the second and third one. And there are some great colours in the last one.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Liz
Journal pages and wood panel are wonderful ~ delightful colors and composition and your abstract is excellent ~ has a Picasso look to it ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^
beautiful spring pieces this week Debbie! Your abstract's nice too!
Love the colours you've used..great job :)
Such pretty colors on the wood. I really like how you can see its grain coming through. It gives it kind of a beachy, organic look.
The painted wood panel is so very wonderful. I love how the pattern of the wood shows lightly. Makes it more "alive" for me
They are beautiful!
I have painted on wood some years ago. I liked it very much!
It is fun to watch your progress as you are trying new things and exploring... have a great week...xx
These are wonderful, Debbie. I especially like the paintings you've started on wood. Love the colour choice and the design! :)
Happy SS! Hugs xo
Looks great! What fun...I love painting ON things too.
Lots of pretty things to share. I love turquoise... looks great with the wood showing through.
