I only had a few minutes for a sketch today, but wanted to try a face from this angle. If you want to see other wonderful sketches, check out Sophia's blog.
Here is my girl from last week, in my journal.
And finally, here is a quick collage I did with some paper I made. (sorry the picture is so bad!)
The baby birds are out of the nest and I had a picture of one of them, but my computer is having issues, so I can't post it now. (hopefully later today!)
Have a restful Sunday!

We love looking through these!
Debbie,
I love this sketc and the feeling of freedom that I get from it. I also love your journal piece as well. GORGEOUS! :)
Sorry for the delay. NOTE: I added a link to your blog from mine already so peeps can come visit.
Hugs!
that's a difficult angle to do, I think I would need a photo reference but it's good try
I think you did a great job on the first sketch Debbie...a difficult angel...well done!
The second is so pretty, gorgeous face & hair!
I'm a huge fan of collage work, I've never done it but I do admire it often...this is wonderful!
You've been busy...good for you...I'm itching to paint but once I start everything else gets left behind and I can't do that right now...enjoy your art!!!!
Cheers
wonderful creations!!!
Those are beautiful! Love the quick Sunday sketch with her arms embracing the world!
Love your Sunday sketch! I am not brave when it come to sketching a face at different angles. You did a great job and I love your other two pieces also!
I really like the collage! very cool
wonderful to see all the art you have been doing. That first one is full of celebration. The second one reminds me of Suzi Blu's homework that I have been doing too!
oh it's so wonderful that you make art...and keep a journal!
i love blending words with the drawings...to remember a mood, or the day's events! it's so much fun!
happy sketching!
enjoy your monday!

Love your journal girl, Debbie!!
Also you had asked me about the embellishments on my one girl. At the top is one of those gold metal corners that you can find at scrapbook stores. It's pretty big about 3 inches from point to point (and then I just painted it), and the heart on her neck is from an old bracelet that I had. I have so much old jewelry that I pick up cheap at garage sales just for this reason!
Hi Debbie, thanks for your sweet comment on my first Sunday Sketch! I just love yours, she looks so liberated! All of your artwork is lovely :) ~Lauren
I am enjoying your blog. Love the collage with the sun - great papers!
That is a great sketch, that is not an easy angle to get but you have done well. I would have been here sooner but was out of town.
