Hello everyone, I'm finally back in my studio, and working like crazy! I was off a couple of weeks ago, and just have been so busy with all the fall birthdays in our little family. All 4 of my grandkids have their birthdays in September and October, plus both of my kids have their birthdays in the fall! It's a really busy time of year, so I just didn't have time for much painting or blogging. Also, I have a vendor fair to prepare for, so I've been making cards etc for that.
While I was at the beach, I came up with ideas for a painting I started, but just wasn't happy with. Here is what I've done so far this week:
What do you think of the added shells?? Should I keep them? I'm still not sure, but I do like the girl a little better, and I have an idea to paint a cool vine I saw at the beach which will probably cover up some of the shells. Also a bird is in the works...hopefully next week, I will have a finished painting!
I'm linking to Paint Party Friday and Sunday Sketches this week. I hope you will join us!

Lovely colours, and I like the shells. Valerie
I say keep the shells, it really adds to the composition and pulls it all together. This is really lovely already and I look forward to seeing how you finish it!

The shells add a unique touch to the piece, I think. I'd keep them.
