Good morning and welcome to another Sunday Sketches hosted by Sophia!(see link to the right) Below are 2 sketches that I colored with pencil and paint. The one was added to my art journal, but I haven't decided what to do with the 2nd one.
I've been trying to improve my side view, so here is one of my practice sketches.
The hand still needs a little work. Another area I struggle with, but it's fun to be challenged.
We had a good service at church today about courage, and it reminded me that we are in a battle everyday, but God has already won the battle. We just need to trust Him.
I hope you are enjoying a restful day!

These are very good. And what a cool lady with the hat :)
Have a great Sunday:)
Great sketches! Loved seeing all three!
I really like seeing the progress of your art, Debbie. That first one is quite cute. :) And yes, we all need a little courage - empowered in God, living a right life the best we can. Not always easy. It is a day by day battle. Hugs
i love them! especially the first one is FANTASTIC!!!
Happy Sunday, very nicce sketches, I struggle with profile views also, they are not as easy as they look.
Great work.
Lovely pieces, finished and the new one. Have a wonderful Sunday.
Thanks for the great sketches ~ ^_^ ~
New to Sketch Sunday ~ do hope you will come visit my blog Share the Creative Journey and A Creative Harbor ~ thanks.
I love the lady with the hat too! Hands...oh how I dislike them! Practice practice is what I tell myself.
cheers, dana
The first image is my favorite with the hat. I'm not sure but it looks like a collage. If not, great effect with the colors.
Wonderful post..such beautiful sketches...i love your ladies..all fabulous!!

I like the effect you achieved with the mysterious woman in your first sketch.
Looks great...love the new especially the lady with the hat! POP ART MINIS
That's neat how you tore around the lovely lady in the hat and painted the background.
great job. I think you are doing really well on your side angles...i always struggle with that....have a great week! sorry for the late visit, i have been traveling!
I was checking out your other drawings as well, and the colours are lovely in all of them. Also, they seem so fresh, like that of a little child's; they are extremely beautiful, but not complicated, and not like any others'. :)
Great drawings Debbie...it looks to me as though you are meeting your challenges, I see so much growth in your work!!!
Thank you for the bit about "courage"...I'm feeling as though I need that reminder right now!!!
Enjoy the day.
Cheers
