Hello everyone and thank you so much for your support and wonderful comments. They are so encouraging and I really appreciate you all! Below is this weeks Sunday Sketch along with how I started the background.
I still have a way to go to finish this one, but I'm liking it so far!
And finally, here is my painting from last week, with an added sketch, but still not complete.
I'm off to see what everyone else submitted for this weeks sketches! I hope you'll drop by Sophia's blog and join me! (see link on the right)
Have a wonderful day!!

Fun to see your background unfold into art. Lovely hand under the heart. and the last piece is lovely, a scene worthy of walking into.
I love seeing the process of artists. I can' wait to see them finished. I love them so far!
Very nice work Debbie...I enjoy seeing how you've used the words in the first piece...very cool.
You seem to have a knack for drawing lovely hands...the one under the hear is so pretty and delicate!
I began a painting class a couple of weeks ago with Wyanne...love it...not at the point I want to share yet but loving it just the same!!! You inspire me to keep going!
Cheers
Looking good!
I like how you shared with us your multi-layer painting technique. They are both great! thanks for sharing and have a good Sunday xo
I like these so far, Debbie.
Your new one is coming along nicely and will be lovely. Like the added sketch to you little cabin in the woods. Such a peaceful painting.
I really like how the new painting is coming along. Thank you for sharing the steps you took on the background. I have never done mixed media so I am always curious how the process gets done.
Looks very nice Debbie!!!
Off to a great start! Love the sunset in the finished and great perspective on the animal drinking.
Thank you for showing us how you did your background. I'm always intrigued on how many do that. It's turning out great and can't wait to see the finished project. :)
You have such a neat style and I love the patience you bring to your work. There is a wonderful unfolding, peace and tranquility. I like waiting from week to week before we see the finished piece. It reminds me how important it is to pause, breathe, step away and then come back to really appreciate what is created.
lovely work and wonderful use of color and technique.
have a great day.
Lovely piece! Thanks for sharing the process. I find myself inspired seeing new techniques, and it helps to understand how the work came about.
Beautiful Debbie! I LOVE your new piece--can't wait to see how she blossoms!
