Hello and happy Sunday! I worked on 2 more projects this week from the 2 classes I am taking. I also finished the giraffe that I was making for our local DSS. Our church group, are making blankets, and other items to give to York County Social Service sometime in November. So far, I've made two paintings and now this giraffe.
I have the material for a fleece blanket, and hopefully will get started on it this week.
I also finished these 2 paintings in my art journal:
I have 2 more I want to start. These classes have really given me so much inspiration! I'm really loving them both.
I'm linking with Sunday Sketches again this week. I hope you will join me!

Two New Classes!
Good morning and Happy Sunday! My husband bought me 2 new classes for my upcoming birthday next month! Animalitos with Tracy Verdugo and Happy Painting with Juliette Crane. I haven't finished either class, but I've tried a few paintings in my journal. The first is from Tracy's class; what a talented lady!
The next are from Juliette's class, which has been fun, but her style is not that easy to pick up on. Not that I want to duplicate her exact paintings, but just learning the looseness that I love about her paintings is difficult. This first one is my favorite, although I wasn't happy with the leaves in the tree.
This next was a little too brown, and I was sorry I covered up too much of the blue. At least the flower and sun are cute!
And the last is just a little scary! The only part I really like is the background and her dress. Oh well, I just have to keep trying. I always think I will learn something the first time, but it always takes more practice.
At least practicing is most of the fun! Lol!
I haven't mentioned that my son is expecting his 3rd child in February! Part of the reason for learning to make animals, is because I wanted to make a new book for the baby, like I have the other 4 grandkids. I don't really have any solid ideas yet, but my next animal will be a deer. I'll show you next week how it turned out!
I'm heading out for a walk with a friend, and will be around to visit once I return. As always, I'm linking with Sunday Sketches! Have a great week and God bless!xo

My Hope Is In The Lord
Good morning and Happy Sunday! I found out Friday that I have Fuchs, which is a disease of the cornea. I have to use eye drops twice a day and hope it doesn't get worse, or I will need surgery. 2 of my sisters have it and so did my dad and mom, so I wasn't surprised that I have it too. So what did I do about it? A painting of course...called Hope.

Feeling Better...At Last!
Hello all! It's been a while since I posted, but it's taken me a long time to feel better. I still have some neck pain, (which turned out to be a bulging disk!) but everyday its a little better. I've been busy painting and sketching. This is just a small sample, and more will be posted as I have time.

Sketching At Starbucks!
Good morning! I've been spending some time trying to do live sketches of people at Starbucks this week. The overstuffed chair in the corner was my favorite spot to sit where I could observe and sketch unnoticed> Here are a few of the sketches:
I hope to go again so maybe I'll have more next Sunday. I'm linking with Sunday Sketches this week!(see link on the right) Have a wonderful week all.

New Sketch for SS!
Good morning and Happy Sunday! I've been wanting to do another oil painting of my son's kids for quite some time, and finally got the picture printed out yesterday. I've started on the sketch too:
Here is the original picture I'm using:
I could really use your prayers, as I was sick then got a rash that is painful. The Dr's are checking me for allergies and a virus, but I don't know yet what is wrong. It's been a very scary week since I broke out.
I'm linking with Sunday Sketches today, and hope you will join me in seeing what other artists are making. Have a good week!

Happy New Year!
Goodmorning and I hope everyone has a blessed New Year in 2015! I felt like I accomplished so much that I've been wanting to do in 2014, but still have a long way to go. I always try to find time to create everyday, but that seems like an unrealistic goal, with work and all. One of my goals, is to try to work more with oil paints. How about you? Any new goals for the new year?
Below is a painting I started several months ago, and finally have it at least close to being finished. It's from a dream I had many years ago. I showed it to a couple of friends, but they didn't seem to like it. I couldn't tell if it was the subject or its just a horrible painting. (I admit the wings need some more work!) What do you think?
I've been sketching more. Here are just a couple.
