Spring Flowers and Wips

Hello and Happy Sunday! We changed our clocks forward today, so of course I feel a little sleepy. It takes me at least until Wednesday before I get used to the time change, but I love having the extra daylight in the evening so it's worth feeling a little tired. How about you?
Below is the 5x7 canvas I started last week. I changed my mind about what I was going to paint on it, and ended up with flowers!

Below are 2 works in progress. The first is in my new altered book.

This one is in my sketchbook.

I never know what I'll do with sketches like this. Sometimes they stay in the sketchbook and sometimes they end up in a painting.
I'm heading over to Sophia's blog to see what other artists have created this week. I hope you'll join me!
Have a wonderful week!

Sunday Sketches

Hello and happy Sunday! It's looking like a sunny day here in South Carolina! Which is nice, since we have had several cloudy days in a row. Thinking of the weather reminds me of the people who have lost their homes and loved ones here in the states from the terrible tornado's we've had recently. I'm praying for them today, and I hope you will join me.
Below is a bird I saw while in Florida recently. I decided to give him an interesting background. but I feel like he needs more depth, so I'm not sure if I'm finished with him. He's a blue heron, which are very popular in Florida.

Below is the painting I had a background for last week, now finished!

"Rejoice" reminds me to find joy in each day. I am so blessed with my family, friends, job and so much more. I have much to rejoice about!
This last painting is one I just started yesterday. So far it's just paper and tissue paper on a 5x7 canvas panel.

I found a great deal at Michael's yesterday! These 5x7 canvas panels were on sale for 4.99, but the only package left was missing 1 panel. The store gave me another .50 off, so I only paid 4.50 for 14! I'm get so excited about great deals! How about you?
That's all I have today! I hope you'll visit Sophia's blog and visit other wonderful artists! Have a good day and week!
